Pamukkale & Hierapolis
Türkiye's most iconic natural wonder — white limestone pools cascading down a hillside, crowned by the ruins of the ancient Roman spa city of Hierapolis.

Pamukkale & Hierapolis
Pamukkale — which means “cotton castle” in Turkish — is one of the most extraordinary natural sites in the world. Mineral-rich thermal water has been cascading down this hillside for thousands of years, forming a series of dazzling white travertine terraces and shallow warm pools. At the top, the ruins of Hierapolis, a Greco-Roman spa city founded in the 2nd century BC, complete one of the most memorable day trips in Türkiye.
Highlights
The travertines of Pamukkale — walk barefoot through the warm white calcium pools (a UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Hierapolis — explore the ancient spa city: the theatre, the necropolis, the temples and the sacred pool of Apollo
Cleopatra's Pool (optional) — swim among submerged Roman columns in the ancient thermal water
Hierapolis Archaeological Museum — housed in the former Roman baths
Laodicea (optional) — a recently excavated early Christian city, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation
